Klemm KR 806-4GM: Compact & Powerful Drilling Rig

Drill Rigs

High drilling performance with compact dimensions
The drilling rig type KR 806-4GM was developed for heavy double-rod overburden drilling with on-board magazine MAG 6.1. Based on the technology of the KR 806-3GS, the rig offers high drilling power and compact dimensions (overall width). This means machine transportation, especially within the EU, is possible with minimum effort.

Energy Efficiency
The basis of the drive train is a 175 kW diesel engine with exhaust gas treatment incl. particle filter for emission stages EU Stage V or USA EPA Tier 4 final. A version for emissions stage IV (EU) with 160 kW is still available.

The hydraulic system comprises a dual-circuit load-sensing system with the reliable technologies, Load Limit Control and Power Sharing (patented). The hydraulic valve banks are integrated directly into the CAN bus and have extremely sensitive reactions. They are self-regulating so work independently of the temperature and highly accurately. The EEP-Package (EEP=Energy-Efficient Package) includes a power and energy management system which adjusts the engine speed automatically and dynamically to the load and operating state. Fuel consumption and sound emissions are greatly reduced.

Optimised machine kinematics
The boom kinematics have been strengthened especially for the MAG 6.1, with regards to rigidity and long-term fatigue strength. The kinematics are designed primarily for shallow inclined bores with deep starting spots, and pile drilling with drilling locations sideways to the crawler tracks can now also be carried out.

The ability to control all functions by radio remote control is standard.
The functional safety of the machine controls complies with Performance Level C (ISO 13849), making its design extremely resistant to faults and fail-safe. The ROM and SPM modes are available in the machine in accordance with EN 16228. The machine is pre-fitted for installation of a KLEMM Bohrtechnik interlocking guard.

Maintenance and diagnostics
The display and diagnostics options have been hugely expanded, e.g. there are displays at the operating station for flow regulation of the individual flushing channels. All pump circuits are provided with easily accessible mini measuring ports.
