A class of its own
The Klemm KR 801-3G defines its own class of especially compact and at the same time universally usable drilling rigs. The model with the denomination “K” is the kinematic variant with an articulated boom, and offers a maximum reach capability to drill small and medium-sized drill holes, above and under the set-up area of the drilling rig.

Unique kinematics
The capability to swivel the boom up to 90° over the right hand crawler in combination with powerful hydraulic drifters (KD series) or rotary heads (KH series) makes the KR 801-3GK ideal for securing sloops and excavations with self-drilling anchors, or cased soil nails. Applications for inclined or vertical drill holes are covered by this unique kinematic which includes a 360° rotator.

For hard-to-reach drilling points
Special focus lies on the suitability of this machine for extremely confined conditions. This is shown on the one hand by the compact dimensions (2.2 m in total width) and, on the other hand, by a newly developed mobile radio remote control. The very carefully and precisely designed build of the machine base makes additional jack-ups unnecessary. This makes the set-up of the drilling rig on the next drill hole very efficient.

Energy Efficiency
The utilisation of a fuel-saving, dual pump, load-sensing hydraulics together with benefits of the EEP-Package (EEP=Energy-Efficient Power) achieves an extremely efficient hydraulic supply of the respectively active consumers on the drilling rig. The operation of the newest generation of rotary heads with high-pressure hydraulics and an operating pressure of 350 bar maximum is a trend-setting feature.

Safe working
The newly developed machine exterior trim sets new standards in ergonomics, maintainability, noise emission, permissible ambient temperature and design. The functional safety of the machine controls complies with Performance Level C (ISO 13849), making its design extremely resistant to faults and fail-safe. The ROM and SPM modes are available in the machine in accordance with EN 16228.
