IPI Packers (“IPI”) is now the global trading style of Inflatable Packers International Pty Ltd and its international associate companies. IPI was established in 1999 and are the world’s largest specialist designers and manufacturers of inflatable packers for the energy, mining, and groundwater industries. Additional to classic down hole products, IPI has custom made, OEM and surface applications for inflatables, including at the wellhead with inward inflating technology. IPI clients include leading resource, geotechnical, scientific, engineering, construction and drilling companies worldwide. We ship to every continent – including Antarctica.
Most common downhole applications for ADIA clients are for permeability testing (SWiPS and STX60), hydraulic fracture, zonal isolation, well completion and grouting applications. Products are available for sale or rent, with common systems and spares held as stock enabling short lead times for standard products. IPI’s packers are now rated to 20,000 psi, expansion over to over 3 times, with temperatures up to 165°C (not concurrent) and are made from a range of suitable materials. IPI Perth’s QMS is ISO 9001 certified.
The IPI team consists of qualified engineers using SolidWorks™ CAD, tradesmen and even a hydrogeologist. We have our own well-equipped workshops, complete with CNC lathes, autoclave, a rubber test lab and modern, purpose-built packer build up machines. IPI manufactures in Bayswater, Western Australia and Haskovo, Bulgaria, with four other sales offices (USA, Singapore, Holland and Chile) and agents in other countries.
