Description

TOP DRIVE DRILL HEAD

Drill at high speed for coring, up to 1200 RPM. Switch to low gear for rotary drilling and achieve maximum torque of 7.8 kNm @ 100 rpm. The Boart Longyear LX11 feed system can achieve a 7.2 meter stroke allowing 6 meter rods to be pulled using the head.

OPTIONAL ROD PRESENTER

For safe and efficient handling of reverse circulation, rotary, and diamond coring rods.

INTERLOCKED SAFETY CAGE

Protects the operators from the rotating drill string. If the guard is opened during drilling, feed speed and rotation is reduced.

OPTIONAL 1200 CFM CYCLONE

For reverse circulation drilling.

MULTIPURPOSE DRILLING APPLICATIONS

The LX11 is capable of wireline and conventional coring, undisturbed sampling and testing, geological work, ground consolidation drilling, water well drilling, auger drilling, jet grouting, micropiling, soil nailing, and reverse circulation drilling.
