MyDrill supplier member profile, Page 75 on December–January digital edition of Australasian Drilling
Better decisions in drilling start with better access to knowledge.
In the December–January edition of Australasian Drilling, I profile MyDrill, a new platform designed to connect rigs, data and practical industry experience in one place.
Founded by Shadi Samieifar, MyDrill was built to address a familiar problem across the sector. Valuable products, services and hard-won lessons often sit in silos, scattered across trade shows, disconnected systems or buried in reports. Smaller suppliers and innovators, in particular, struggle to be seen by the people who need them.
MyDrill’s approach is deliberately complementary rather than disruptive. It does not replace existing systems used by drilling companies. Instead, it improves visibility, comparison and planning before projects begin, helping users make more informed decisions earlier.
A key theme of the article is how artificial intelligence fits into that vision. Shadi is clear that AI only adds value when it is trained on reliable, industry-verified data. Case studies, real-world results and shared experience matter far more than generic online information. The goal is what she describes as a drilling knowledge hub, built by the industry and for the industry.
With Evan Tech now an Australian Drilling Industry Association (ADIA) member, the platform is continuing to evolve through collaboration with contractors, suppliers and researchers, with plans to expand its online expo and knowledge base over the coming year.
The full supplier member profile appears in the December–January digital edition of Australasian Drilling and is well worth a read for anyone interested in how digital platforms, AI and knowledge sharing are starting to reshape how the drilling sector connects and learns.
